Taro Aso remains a hero in Akihabara

Ex-Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso may have lost his job, but his spirit will probably continue to live on in Tokyo’s Akihabara, the Japanese mecca for everything anime and electronics. Taro Aso is famous for his love of Japanese manga comics and often had campaign speeches in Akihabara where he was seen as some sort of a local hero. In the media, he also about expanding Akihabara to become even bigger. Well, maybe he should become a mayor of this part of town!
The photos you see here were taken this morning at some anime store that even sells memorial Taro Aso cookies.

I must say this life size semi-realistic Aso doll creeped me out quite a bit because of the way it lurked there at the entrance. However, his trademark stretched mouth was a spot on! ;)
